About the Ensemble

 The Amethyst Ensemble was founded in 2013 by string students attending the graduate degree program at DePaul University School of Music. We currently perform professionally throughout the Chicago area as freelance musicians, as well as with various symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and musical theater pit orchestras in the tri-state area.
